Jonathan Hugh, the Chief Financial Officer of Zodia Custody, departed from the London-based firm earlier this year, as confirmed by the company. In addition, Samuel Howe, the company’s former Chief Operating Officer, also recently left the crypto custodian, according to reports.
A spokesperson for Zodia Custody acknowledged Hugh’s contributions, saying, "Jonathan has been an important part of the Zodia Custody team for the past two years, and we are thankful for his expertise, commitment, and leadership during a time of significant growth for the company."
The spokesperson further added, "While transitions like these are a natural part of business, our company continues to grow. In 2023, Zodia Custody had 97 employees. Today, we’ve expanded to 140 employees worldwide, and by 2025, we plan to strengthen our presence in existing markets and expand into new regions."
Hugh did not provide a comment before the publication deadline.
Before his time at Zodia Custody, Hugh was the CFO at crypto market maker GSR. His career also includes experience in the commodities sector, having worked with ED&F Man and Noble Group, as stated on his LinkedIn profile.
Zodia Custody is backed by prominent financial institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank (STAN), SBI Group, Northern Trust, and National Australia Bank (NAB).
